Drinking water must satisfy the quality criteria set out in particular

It is taken from water resources whose characteristics are also set out in the regulations (uncontaminated or slightly contaminated water)

The elimination and/or inactivation of bacteria is carried out by filtration on membrane cartridges, thick gain bed, ultrafiltration membrane and/or oxidation (chlorination, ozonation, UV radiation, etc.)

It should also be checked that other contaminants are not also to be eliminated
