Description

The DOSATRON® D8IL2-EX is an ATEX-certified, water-powered proportional dosing pump designed for safe and reliable chemical dosing in hazardous environments where potentially explosive atmospheres may occur. Because it operates without electricity, the D8IL2-EX helps simplify installation in industrial sites while maintaining proportionality that is directly dependent on the water flow. This inline dosing technology supports industrial dosing stations where accuracy and robustness are required, particularly when electrical dosing alternatives would increase complexity and maintenance constraints.

Engineered for high flow applications, the D8IL2-EX covers water flow rates from 500 L/h up to 8 m³/h and provides an injection range of 0.2–2% (ratio 1:500 to 1:50). The unit is specified for operating water pressures from 0.15 to 8 bar and can inject concentrated additive from 1 to 160 L/h. Outlet injection is specified, and an integrated by-pass option is available for manual activation (on) and stop (off) of additive suction, enabling operational flexibility during production or maintenance actions.

For chemical compatibility, the D8IL2-EX is supplied with sealing options intended for both acidic additives and alkaline additives. With NPT-BSP 1 1/2" male connections (Ø 40×49 mm) and a PVC suction hose (Ø 16×22 mm, length 1.75 m), the pump is suited to industrial fluid-handling setups in sectors such as surface and mining industries, with installation referenced for zone 0, zone 1, and zone 2.
