Ozone water treatment

The treatment of water by ozone (or ozonation of water) consists of the introduction of ozone into the water in order to ensure its disinfection. It is a chemical treatment that uses the disinfectant properties of ozone, which destroys organic particles, or VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Ozonation makes it possible to destroy a large quantity of micropollutants present in the water and to restore water free of taste, odors or color. Ozone treatment does not require the supply of raw material because ozone being unstable and therefore not transportable, it is produced on site by a high voltage current process from the oxygen naturally present in the ambiant air.
