Is ozone water treatment a chemical treatment?
2 answers
Hello,
Yes, it is a direct or radical oxidation treatment which interacts with dissolved organic molecules or bacteria/viruses. It is therefore a chemical treatment of oxidation or disinfection. It can be used for the treatment of drinking water or for the treatment of water whose pollution is not or only slightly biodegradable. Sometimes ozone is used as a flocculant.

Indeed, as Spanish professional designers, manufacturers, installers & maintainers exclusively dedicated to Ozone technology for more than 16 years and present in more than 30 countries, ozonation can be considered as a chemical treatment with a spectrum of much wider application and sector; sanitation, deodorization, hygienization & disinfection (viruses, spores, bacteria, fungi & algae) of the air, surfaces and water in order to improve their physico-chemical & microbiological qualities.
