What is RE-USE of process water? Is it allowed in every country?
2 answers
The Reuse of process water consists in treating it in order to be able to reuse this (process) water upstream and therefore save water. The regulations in France allow this depending on the destination of the treated water. Treating process water for recycling requires a preliminary feasibility study to select the most appropriate technique. Firmus France specializes in feasibility studies
Hello,
RE-USE and RE-UTE (Reuse of Treated Wastewater) are governed by French and European legislation. The recent evolution of European legislation (May 2020) opens the field of possibility for the reuse of this water, especially for irrigation.
From a legislative point of view, the RE-USE is framed in France by two ministerial decrees of 2010 and 2014.
