Trommel

The Trommel is a cylindrical sieve that allows materials to be sorted according to their size thanks to a rotating system. It is equipped with a perforated grid of meshes of different sizes, which allows the filtration of the materials: the materials to be kept pass through the grid of the drum while the residual materials remain inside the cylinder.
The Trommel is used in many industries and especially in the waste treatment process: in this case it can also be called a waste screen. To treat waste from the construction sector, a washing trommel is often used which cleans the earth and rubble that can then be reused.
