L'angle doit donc être ajusté en fonction de la nature des matériaux traités, de leur granulométrie et de la capacité souhaitée. Par exemple, pour des matériaux légers ou de petite taille, un angle moindre peut être plus approprié. Des paramètres comme la vitesse de rotation du tambour et la configuration des grilles doivent également être optimisés conjointement avec l'angle pour maximiser le rendement et la qualité de la séparation.
